Current version: | 1.2.7 |
Compatibility: | WordPress 4.8.3 |
Hi there,
I have downloaded Newszine Free and when installed found it absolutely plain empty like Twenty Fifteen or same ones. Could you provide the template with default content like look on the advertisement. FYI at TempleMonster, all their templates incl free ones come with default content (Loren ipsum….) and stock images – this helps users to start new site.
Hi Serg Berezin,
Thanks for using our NEWSZINE Free WordPress Theme.
The necessary steps to make Home page are:
Step 1: create a basic page with title “Home” and use “Full Width Template” instead of default one.
Step 2: Go to Dashboard-> Settings -> Reading ->
2.1: In Front page displays : choose static page -> and Front Page -> Home
Step 3 : go to web Home URL.
Note : If you need in depth detail documentation we have one documentation here
Theme is very simple and easy to setup. But unfortunately we do not have .xml demo content for free versions. If you like you can try our Newszine plus premium version that comes with .xml demo content.
compare the both free vs premium : here
Let us know if you have any further query.
Thanks

Grest work!
nice theme..
Thanks for sharing!
Hi, it’s nice theme.
I am testing the free version, but I can’t configure 3 grids posts block beside the slider as the demo shows.
I only can set 1 post grid block beside the slider. Where can I configure it?
Thanks,
Well, now I figured that I have to set all 3 categories in the widget setting. I thought blank means that posts are picked from all categories.
I would like this featured post section beside slider shows the latest 3 posts from all categories. How can I do that?
Thanks,
by adding ‘offset’=> 1, in second section of right and ‘offset’=> 2, in third section of right.
Hi There,
The header add is displayed in Firefox and IE but not in Google Chrome.
Please help.
Thanks
is it google add from your own account ?
is it google ad from your own account ?
Ad is just a fixed image and not from google. I have sent my answers twice before but they dont show up here. if this is something you are not interested in addressing I will be glad to hear that too.
Not an ad. It is just a image(site title) placed there instead. To check, please try opening the website in Firefox/IE and then Google Chrome.
Any update?
Hi there,

Hi, is there a way to show image captions?
I mean for “featured Image”
can be done via CSS, please email us at oceanwebthemes@gmail.com with your site detail
I did, never heard back
Great theme. SEO based question. It seems like if you just use the “Site Title” rather than a logo, then the Site Title is the H1 on every page, rather than the Page or Post Title. Those Titles are listed as H2’s. To be more SEO friendly, the Page/Post Title should be the H1 and the Site Title shouldn’t have an “H” tag (having the same H1 on every page isn’t great for SEO to say the least).
Is there a straightforward way for me to change this? I’m comfortable jumping into the editor.
Hi Nick,
Replied you via Email
Thanks.
Hey,
I have the same question. Having the site title as the H1 on every site is not very SEO friendly. How can I fix it?
Thanks for your help!
Dear Onkel,
Please refer to this link:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Designing_Headings
“In WordPress, the H1 heading is typically reserved for the Blog title found in the header or masthead of a page. The H2 heading is generally found in the post title, the comment title, and the sidebar. Each of these can be styled differently, dependent upon their division ID. The H3 heading is usually found in the comments, though it may be replaced by the H2 heading, dependent upon the Theme.”
About SEO, there are few different opinions about this topic. For more information, please read this discussion here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2137983/html-should-the-h1-tag-be-used-for-the-site-title-or-the-page-title
And also see Page 20 in this document:
http://static.googleusercontent.com/media/www.google.com/en//webmasters/docs/search-engine-optimization-starter-guide.pdf
If you still want to change this then you can edit your header.php and search for ‘h1’ tags. You can change the post title by adding a filter to functions.php see here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/single_post_title
Thank you!
it is a great theme thanks for sharing i will apply this to my site for sure
